Chocolate Chip Cookies


Aunt Pete’s Bestest Ever In The World
Chocolate Chip Cookies!


AKA: The Million Dollar Marching Band cookies.

Just use the recipe on the back of the Nestle’s Tollhouse Morsels bag!

Ingredients:

2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 12-ounce bag Tollhouse Morsels
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
1.       Preaheat oven to 375 degrees
2.       Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. In a separate large bowl, beat together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs one at a time and beat until well mixed. Gradually stir in flour mixture then stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheet.
3.       Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. At the 5-minute mark, carefully open oven and using an oven mitt, grab the baking sheet and smack it on the oven rack. Then turn the baking sheet around so cookies bake evenly. Smacking the cookie sheet is Aunt Pete’s super top secret tip to making the cookies really chewy!
4.       When done, remove from oven and let cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes, then use a spatula to move the cookies to a wire rack to cool.
5.       DIG IN AND EAT!
